First, happy Independence Day. May we all be independent – from our bad habits, from student loans and things that make us cringe.
Second, THANK YOU for submitting your captions to the strange picture! We admit, it was not an easy image to caption and you did your best. We thoroughly enjoyed all the submissions with prolonged fits of laugh.
After a long debate to reconcile differences of opinions (it was a jury of 4) we have a winner today. And two runners-up. It wasn’t easy, all submitted captions were captivating, but we had to commit to just 3.
See the winners below the picture.
“I really hope that’s not a suppository!”
Mike from Queens, NY
“Suddenly, the past month’s events–the strange wet trails in the kitchen, the missing pills, the mysterious noises in the night–all made sense to Steve. His new roommate, who he assumed was simply foreign and eccentric, was really a giant, pill-popping tongue pretending to be human to get into people’s medicine cabinets. Having been discovered, the tongue bolted out the window, its medicinal bounty in tow. Steve wondered vaguely what he would do now. The tongue still owed him rent.”
“Luckily, the hospital installed a new drug dispenser.”
Anda from Toronto, Canada
Lucky Mike from Queens will have a choice between a drawing and a DVD. Here’re his options:
CONGRATULATIONS, Mike, Erica and Anda! Well done.
We are posting our next picture in need of caption tomorrow.
